Unique in its attitude and approach H-OM (pronounced “home”) was created with a deep desire to Touch as Many People, in as Positive a Way as Possible, and the intent to make all who enter the center feel like they’ve found a “H-OM away from home”!
Founder /owner, Heleen Couvrette has been teaching yoga since 1999, became a Certified RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance in 2003, and has since become an accredited certified E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher).
Heleen also teaches a 200hr YTT (Yoga Teacher Trainer) Certification Program at her Yoga / Wellness Center which is registered with Yoga Alliance as a YTT School (Yoga Teacher Training School).
There will also be a 300hr YTT Certification program b eginning in the Fall of 2011 with Leeann Carey E-RYT, who has 30 years experience teaching.
Heleen writes articles for, and has a column in Your Local Journal. She is also a mom of 4 awesome kids, of ages of 7, 10, 15, and 21!
Heleen's passion for yoga and all that brings fitness, health and wellness of mind, body and spirit, is what she feels to be her purpose in life. She strives to offer her warmth, compassion and attention to those who grace her center.
H-OM's special recipe is not a gym, club, or spa – not a machine, but a personable, cozy space, geared towards brining health and peace, with open heart and mind by all who work there.
